Testimonials from former or current families:
“I cannot imagine my daughter going anywhere else! The Garden taps into her love of the outdoors, curiosity, and natural inclination to be a helpful little member of the family and community. The teachers are patient as she learns to share toys and space with other kids and they embrace her for the chaotic force she is. We’ve loved seeing her come into herself more and more as time goes on with The Garden!” ~emily H

“the Garden Preschool has been our family’s needle in a haystack find! TBH, I don’t know what we’d do without it. We have multiple high-risk family members and this preschool’s COVID/virus safety protocols far surpass any other preschool option we could find in the greater Charlotte area. My 2.5yo wears a mask when indoors, but is able to spend most of her time outdoors everyday. When any child or staff member is ill, they must show a negative PCR test before returning to school and stay home until contagious symptoms abate. Since beginning school this year, my immuno-deficient preschooler has brought NOTHING CONTAGIOUS home to our family from school. And she generally picks up everything. This has meant that not only has she been able to actually attend preschool herself, but her even higher-risk older sister has stayed much healthier than usual too. Having these safety protocols allowed our family to celebrate our fall religious holidays this year without any illness, which we’ve never been able to do in 6 years of parenting. In addition, my 2.5yo absolutely loves this school! The Montessori philosophy, majority of time spent outdoors, and the director/staff’s expertise in early childhood development have blown us away. TBH, I didn’t know that preschool communication, kindness/inclusivity of all children and their families, and parent involvement/education could be this good. We’ve never had to beg for inclusion of high-risk children: Real inclusion is at the heart of this school. My daughter can’t get out of the car fast enough each morning and never wants to leave. Her language skills have exploded, her comfort with new and healthy multiple-textured foods has greatly increased, her confidence to try new things has soared beyond what her already independent little self first brought to school, she adores her new friends, and feels safe, loved and encouraged by all staff she encounters. Ms. Ellen is an incredible educator and we are beyond grateful that we are a part of this amazing little school. You. will. love. it!!!!!” ~parent of medically high-risk kids
